Blush rayon and hand-sewn sequins are just the surface details that make this item so beautiful. Its history, or what I can surmise of it, is even more interesting.

The original hem is far above the knee, and the sheer amount of decor is so vibrant, that it had to have been an outfit meant for performance.
It could be a figure skating uniform, a trapeze outfit, or the first layer of a burlesque performance.
